Asking & Listening
The first step in the website design and devleopment process is to understand what the business objectives of your company are. Are you trying to drive phone calls, sell more product or increase the brand awareness of your company? These questions and more are all answered during the Discovery phase of the project where we meet with your stakeholders to make sure we know exactly what your goals are.
Strategizing & Distilling
Your business goals will drive the design and development process. When you work with Karuna you get to leverage the many years of experience building highly converting websites. After we understand your business goals we begin working on defining your target audience and creating wireframes – lo-fi depictions of each of the unique page designs that help us understand how things will be laid out on each page.
Creating & Iterating
Enter, the designers. This is often the most exciting portion of the project. This is where we take the lo-fi wireframes and build beautiful designs for each page. The end results is a complete design that we review with you until everything is pixel perfect. Once the website design is approved, the developers get to work. During development we tie together all the required functionality and tools are built to launch.
Measuring & Analyzing
Our mantra when it comes to launching websites is, "Track everything!" At a bare minimun we launch all new websites with either the legacy or new instance of Google Analytics, but that's just the beginning. Conversion, phone call and social media tracking are all must haves as we monitor the new site and ensure that we have designed site that's going to convert. As data comes in, our web team will work with you to constantly lean forward to increase conversions. Every tenth of percentage point matters.
